Our Pedigrees
Spear-Bar Kennels
is fortunate to have two exceptional lines of
Dobermans in its Kennel. Both are out of European
champions with incredible pedigrees. Breeding
rights to the first, Gemini
of Ginga House, was acquired during his tour
of America.
The second is
our very own Caden
von Vicaral. Caden was purchased for our kennel
after an extensive and careful search for the
exact bloodline we wanted to add for our puppies.
The vom Norden Stamm kennel, one of the most prestigious
in all of Europe, is displayed prominently in
his pedigree…a pedigree which is covered
in championships.
In fact, an examination
of the pedigrees of the vast majority of the modern
winners with European blood today will invariably
reveal a vom Norden Stamm dog. There is hardly
a Doberman kennel in the world incorporating European
lines which has not benefited to some degree from
this kennel's breeding excellence. The vom Norden
Stamm line has produced champions for breeders
in 29 countries on 5 continents and what makes
this far-reaching influence all the more remarkable
is the relatively small numbers of Dobermans involved:

litters in 35 years!
Both Caden and
Gemini’s lines will produce exceptional
puppies for Spear-Bar Kennels well into the future.
Our ladies are pure American and the re-introduction
of these European champions will assure the owners
of Spear-Bar puppies the best of the old world
and the new.

Shauna is our princess. She has that regal quality so well known by those who love Dobermans and who want that quality in their puppy. She will allow herself to be petted but lets you know that she is just doing you a favor. She prefers to watch what is going on around her and gives you the cold shoulder when she wants to let you know that you have displeased or disappointed her. She loves to be near her people though and happily sleeps at our feet or bedside at night. Her puppies are beautiful and most of them have that regal quality themselves. Next to Caden, she is the most protective of our family and property. She never lacks for self-confidence and is not afraid to let visitors know that they are there on her sufferance. |

Sheba is our family pet. She is our dominant female and all the others look to her as the boss. She is our most friendly and companionable lady, loves to be petted and can’t stand being separated from her people. Sheba is retired now and is a great source of pride, love and companionship. She is the very definition of patience and confidence. Her favorite thing is to go ripping around the yard at top speed for as long and as fast as she can go when we let her out. Our favorite thing is watching her do it and then laughing at her grinning at us when she finally wears out and flops. It’s as if she’s asking us, “Wasn’t I simply magnificent?

Ah, Kimber. She is our youngster and resident clown. Active, inquisitive, mischievous, an extremely quick learner and always looking for someway to get someone’s, anyone’s, attention. She drives the others to distraction trying to get them to play with her. She is one of Shauna’s daughters and is out of Gemini Ginga House whose pedigree also has several von Norden Stamm dogs. We were lucky enough to bring his pedigree into our kennel during his tour of America. We kept her for our kennel because of Gemini’s pedigree and when she is bred to Caden, her puppies will have many, many champions behind her from both Gemini’s and Caden’s pedigrees. Her puppies will be outstanding and will be the result of many years of planning and effort. Those who are lucky enough to obtain one of her puppies will be getting an outstanding example of what a Doberman can be |
